A trip back in time and out of the city.

Today was an absolutely beautiful day. High temp of 60 , pretty breezy, low humidity, and lots of sunshine. My bosses son, Brian spent the night last night and the day with us today so we decided to take a field trip. We went to the George Ranch Historical Park. It is a working ranch that has various homes on the property profiling the family from the 1700's through the 1960's. We literally took a walk through time. The kids really enjoyed it. We have been there before but you literally see something new everytime. There are people in every area in period costumes working in the gardens and basically 'living' the life of the time period of the house or area that they are in. It is so cool. Also, since the kids are such 'city folk' it is great for them to see livestock up close and personal and just get out in the crisp fall air without the distractions of the city. We were there for about 4 hours and only saw about half of the park today. What a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
